International wrestler Geeta Phogat will tie the knot with fellow-wrestler Pawan Kumar at their native village Balali on November 20. Pawan Kumar hails from Nangal Thakran village of Delhi. He won bronze in 86-kg category at the Commonwealth Games in 2010. Both met at a wrestling competition about a year-and-a half ago.
The family sais Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who essayed the role of Mahabir Phogat in his upcoming flick ‘Dangal’ which is scheduled to be released on November 23, had accepted the invitation. the part of their celebrations. Several other celebrities are expected to attend the function.
Mahabir, father of Geeta, said preparations were in full swing for the big day. The Phogat family was shot first to limelight when Geeta won the first-ever gold medal in women’s wrestling in the 55-kg freestyle category at the Commonwealth Games in 2010.
