ABVP welcomes delegates

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a welcome ceremony under the aegis of Students’ Experience in Interstate Living (SEIL) at Dev Sadan here today. ABVP national chairman Nagesh Thakur was the chief guest on the occasion. He welcomed the SEIL delegates from the North-Eastern states. He said through such programmes the rich culture and traditions were shared which help in national integration.
He said this was the 50th year of SEIL programme and it was being celebrated as golden jubilee year by the members. Thakur said there were 40 delegates who would stay in Himachal till December 13 and later go to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and return back to their respective states on December 27.
Special guest Manali MLA Govind Singh Thakur said the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad was making continuous efforts towards promoting national integrity. Various other office-bearers, members and former members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad also spoke on the occasion. The delegates from North-Eastern states gave cultural presentations of their traditions and culture. Members of the Kullu Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad also presented various cultural presentations.
