While the Haryana Government has sent a panel of four IAS officers for the post of UT Deputy Commissioner (DC), sources revealed that 2003 batch IAS Amit Kumar Agrawal and 2002 batch IAS TL Satyaprakash, are frontrunners for the post of UT’s DC.
Amit Agrawal, a 2003-batch IAS officer, is at present posted as the DC, Faridabad. Agrawal is a medical doctor,and has done his MBBS course from Rajasthan.
Whereas TL Sayaprakash, a 2002 batch IAS officer, is at present posted as the DC, Gurgaon. The Haryana Government had assigned Satyaprakash to inquire land deals and holdings of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra in Gurgaon.
Sources revealed that both these officers are frontrunners for the post of Chandigarh’ DC.
Apart from them, the Haryana government has sent names of Ajit Balaji Joshi, a 2003 batch IAS, at present posted as the Deputy Commissioner in Jind, and SP Srow, a 2002 batch IAS, who is at presentposted as the Deputy Commissioner in Panipat.
It was on April 28, the UT Administration had repatriated Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shayin, who still had four months to complete his three-year deputation with the UT Administration.
The UT Administrator has given the additional charge of the UT Deputy Commissioner to SB Deepak Kumar.

Amit Agrawal: 2003 batch IAS: (DC, Faridabad)
Done his MBBS course from Rajasthan in first division. He is also the president of Haryana Roller Skating Association.
TL Satyaprakash: 2002 batch IAS: (DC, Gurgaon)
Postgraduate in plant breeding. He was probing the land deals and holdings of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra in Gurgaon.
Ajit Balaji Joshi: 2003 batch IAS: (DC, Jind)
He developed software to eliminate paperwork. Joshi is an electrical engineer from Mumbai’s Sardar Patel Engineering College, and had chosen the civil services over software giant Infosys. He also imparts education to children of migrant workers. He educated more than 15,000 children through innovative ideas. He was also given the ‘Education for the underprivileged Children, Distinguished Services Award’ in 2008.
SP Srow, 2002 batch IAS: (DC, Panipat)
His name was sent for the second time for the post of Chandigarh DC. In 2012, the Haryana Government had sent Srow’s name along with Mohammad Shayin and A Srinivasan. But the MHA had approved Shayin’s name. Srow’s name had also cropped up in the misappropriation of funds under the Mahatma Gandhi National Employee Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS) in Ambala district.
