Almora to have nursing college

Besides a medical college, the town of Almora will have a nursing college in two years time as the state government has sanctioned Rs 17 crore for the project, Almora MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Manoj Tiwari said here today.

“After the sanctioning of a nursing college and a medical college in the town, Almora will be among the advanced districts in medical education and facilities,” said Tiwari. According to the MLA, the government has released Rs 8.65 crore for the construction of a nursing college in Almora which will come up near the Vikas Bhawan where the medical college is also being constructed. — OC
