Ambala War Memorial to have museum soon
Chandigarh, April 12
Health Minister Anil Vij said the War Memorial being set up in Ambala would have a museum spread over 20,000 square feet, and historical items related to India’s First War of Independence of 1857 would be displayed in it.
Vij, who was presiding over a meeting of officers of the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department here today, said that as the spark of First War of Independence was ignited in Ambala, the state government had decided to construct the memorial there to commemorate the memory of martyrs.
“All sequences starting right from the First War of Independence up to Rangoon will be showcased in the War Memorial through audio media and visuals,” he said. —TNS
