Annuity of gallantry awards enhanced

The state government has decided to enhance the rates of annuity of gallantry awards. This was stated by a spokesperson for the government here today.

The spokesperson said the annuity of Kirti Chakra has been enhanced from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh; Vir Chakra and Shaurya Chakra from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh; Sena Medal and Mention-in-Despatch from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000; Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal, Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, Yudh Seva Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal from Rs 4,000 to Rs 8,000; Param Vishisht Seva Medal from Rs 5,400 to Rs 10,800; Ati Vishisht Seva Medal from Rs 4,800 to Rs 9,600; and Sena Medal for distinguished service has been increased to Rs 8,000.
