Govt cautioned against ignoring Jammu region

Amid speculation that the Union government is going to engage into a dialogue with the Hurriyat Conference and other separatist groups to bring normalcy in the turbulent Kashmir valley, political and social activists of Jammu have warned the Centre against ignoring the Jammu and Ladakh regions. All Jammu Civil Society Forum on Wednesday cautioned the Centre against ignoring vast bigger regions of Jammu and Ladakh, which it said were suffering due to non-governance and apathy. The Congress also warned the government against ignoring Jammu in any dialogue process while emphasising the need of involving all stakeholders. — TNS
