Army aviation base at Haldwani

Lieutenant General Rajan Bakhshi, Army Commander, Central Command, accompanied by Dr (Mrs) Preeti Bakhshi, regional president, Army Wives Welfare Association, Central Command, visited the Army Aviation Unit at Haldwani, Uttar Bharat Area and Garud Division at Bareilly today.
At Haldwani, the Army Commander inaugurated the Army Aviation Base and expressed satisfaction over the newly constructed infrastructure for Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH). At Bareilly, the Army Commander visited Headquarters Uttar Bharat Area, Garud Division, including other Army establishments and units under Central Command. He was briefed on operational readiness, training and welfare activities being undertaken by the formations.
During the visit, General Bakhshi interacted with other officers, who briefed him about the ongoing activities of the station.
The Army Commander complimented all personnel for the high standard of military preparedness and appreciated efforts by the formations to reach out to the ex-serviceman of the region and constructive engagement of youth by organising motivational talks in schools and colleges.
Dr (Mrs) Preeti Bakhshi, regional president, Army Wives Welfare Association, Central Command, interacted with ladies of Bareilly station and took keen interest in the welfare activities being undertaken for the families, and children, including Veer Naris.
