The GOC of the White Knight Corps today said the Army had been proactively and aggressively dominating the Line of Control (LoC) south of the Pir Panjal range to secure a peaceful environment in Jammu region.
Lt Gen KH Singh co-chaired a core group meeting along with DGP K Rajendra Kumar at Nagrota near here to take stock of the prevailing security situation south of Pir Panjal range in 10 districts of Jammu region.
“A joint strategy was chalked out in great detail between all agencies to ensure peace and stability in the region and ensure an incident-free environment,” said a Defence spokesperson.
Lt Gen Singh appreciated the high levels of synergy in operations exhibited by all agencies in recent times. He encouraged all present to overcome contemporary challenges and work towards enhancing confidence amongst the people.
He further emphasised the requirement to be vigilant, alive and responsive to the developing situation and maintain peace and ensure a peaceful and conducive environment.
DGP K Rajendra Kumar appreciated the role of all security forces in maintaining peace and harmony in the region. He emphasised the need to maintain high levels of alertness to beat designs of inimical elements.
He exhorted all present to continue synergy and coordination at the functional level to ensure an incident-free atmosphere.
IG CRPF (J&K Zone) Pankaj Kumar, IG CRPF (Jammu Zone) Kuldip Dhar, IGP Jammu Danesh Rana and Jammu Divisional Commissioner Pawan Kotwal attended the meeting.
