Arpita, Praful win title of Carmanians of year

Arpita Bhattacharya and Praful Mani, class XII studnets, were given the Carmanians of the Year 2014-15 title for excellent performances in academic and extracurricular activities, at the annual award ceremony held at Carman School at Dalanwala in Dehradun on Friday.

Alok V. Lal, a former Director General of the Uttarakhand Police, was the chief guest of the function and he gave away awards to the students who had excelled in different spheres. In the all-rounder category, Vantika Bisht (nursery), Vasudha Baurai (class II), Aastha Rawat (class V), Prabin Oinam (class VIII), Nikita Rawat (class X), and Priyanka D’Souza (class XII) were given the awards. Besides, around 150 students were given awards for their good performances in various subjects.
