Assn for assisting war widows

With the motto “Asha, Vishwas and Aastha”, the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) is contributing towards strengthening the organisation and assisting war widows by providing financial and moral support for rehabilitation. This was stated by AWWA president Zarina Hariz at a function organised to mark the 49th year of raising of the AWWA at Summerhill yesterday.

The theme for AWWA Day celebrations for the year is “awareness in families about child abuse and measure to mitigate”. The highlight of the day was a video presentation on child abuse and its prevention. Games, quiz and other competitions were also organised to mark the occasion.
