Kullu, March 2
Baldev Singh Thakur, a member of the Congress, was appointed the state president of the All-India Sonia Gandhi Association (AISGA), an NGO engaged in helping the poor and needy people of society.
Thakur thanked the senior Congress leadership and office-bearers of the AISGA for his appointment and his recognition of work in the party. He said he would work whole-heartedly and in a disciplined manner by upholding the democratic traditions of the country to strengthen the association by helping the poor people. Thakur said the Congressmen giving statements against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh were against the party. — OC
