Bangladesh club lifts Gufran memorial cricket trophy

Pirates of Chittagong today beat Knight Riders Thathri by six wickets to lift the All India 11th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship.

Electing to bat, Knight Riders Thathri managed to score just 121 runs from their stipulated quota of over. Rahul Mussa with 28 was the highest scorer while Akash contributed 25 runs to the total.

For the Bangladesh-based Pirates of Chittagong Munir-ur-Zaman clinched four wickets while Tariq Aziz accounted for three scalps.

In reply, Pirates chased the target in 13.1 overs for the loss of four wickets.

Yasir Ali scored 49 while Sajad-ul-Haque Ripon contributed 29 runs for his team. Akash and Hrithik shared two wickets apiece. — OC
