Bhagana rape victims to challenge acquittal of accused
Hisar, August 13
The victims of the Bhagana rape case have decided to challenge the verdict of the district court to acquit the four accused in the case in the High Court.
Ram Niwas Kush, the complainant’s counsel, said they would file an appeal against the acquittal in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. “Three of the four girls were minor at the time of the incident. The medical examination has also confirmed rape. The accused had taken them in a car from the village and they were found at the Bathinda railway station,” he said, maintaining he was not satisfied with the decision. —TNS
