Bhattal’s son alleges bias against college

President of Youth Congress of Sangrur Lok Sabha Constituency Rahulinder Singh Sidhu, son of former Chief Minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, today staged a dharna outside Baba Hira Singh Bhattal Engineering College at Lehragaga. He staged the dharna along with his supporters against the state government’s “indifferent attitude” towards the college.
Sidhu alleged that the Badal government had adopted a “step-motherly” attitude towards the college as it had been named after his mother Rajinder Kaur Bhattal’s father Baba Hira Singh Bhattal, a freedom fighter. He said the college was in a pitiable condition. He said it was facing staff shortage and even the post of Principal had been lying vacant these days. Besides, infrastructure had not been upgraded. — TNS
