After receiving no response from any quarters about their missing daughter Flight Lieutenant Deepika Sheoran from Bhiwani, her parents today sought Prime Minister and President’s intervention in the matter.

AN-32 had gone missing with 29 persons on board, including Sheoran, on its way from Chennai to Port Blair on July 22.

“We had sent our daughter to armed forces with great pride, but it is shocking to know that the mighty force has not able to locate 29 persons on board in a week’s time,” said Premlata, mother of Deepika Sheoran.

Demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention, she said that the PM and the President should take note of the issue and expedite the rescue and search operation.

Dalip Sheoran, Deepika’s father, said, “We are being told that the forces were on the job to locate the missing aircraft, but the question is why is it taking so long when it had latest technology and resources at its disposal,” he questioned.

He said they had full faith that their daughter would be reunited with them.
