Football tourney

The South Point Engineering College defeated Hindu Engineering College, Sonepat, in the inaugural match of the three-day inter-college football (boys) championship at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal, on Wednesday. In another match teams of the DCRUST and Gateway Engineering College failed to score in regulation time. Earlier, KP Singh, Registrar, DCRUST inaugurated the championship in which as many as 14 teams from different colleges are participating. OC

K’shetra police launch WhatsApp helpline

Kurukshetra: The police on Wednesday launched WhatsApp helpline number 70159-89785 for sending text messages, pictures, audio and video recordings.  SP Abhishek Garg said people could report anti-social activities using the helpline number. The SP said a dedicated team of police officials would monitor the feedback on the WhatsApp helpline. — TNS
