Shimla, March 23
The BJP today alleged irregularities in recruitments in state cooperative bank in violation of the Institute Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) norms.
“Relatives of some officials in the Chief Minister’s Office have benefited while thousands of youth have been betrayed”, chief spokesman of the party Rajiv Bindal said.
The set procedure laid by the IBPS was not followed and the recruitment process was altered to benefit favourites from a particular region”, Bindal said in a statement.
He said the intentions of the government stood exposed as the Subordinate Services Selection Board was also ignored and warned that the BJP would not allow such irregularities to happen.
He said in 2006, there were allegations of irregularities in bank recruitments and the records were not maintained and burnt in just two months. The matter was serious and a high-level inquiry should be ordered into allegations.
