Body found in rain shelter

Shimla, February 1

The body of a 62-year-old man was found in the rain shelter on The Mall here today.

The deceased was identified as Vyom Prakash, a resident of Khaniyara in Kangra district. Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was a cancer patient and was undergoing treatment at the IGMC.

His family members said that he was suffering from throat cancer and had come Shimla for check-up.

“It appears that he died of ill health”, police sources said, adding that the body was being moved to the IGMC for post mortem. — TNS
