Book on freedom fighter Sharma’s poems released

‘Shrijan Yatri’, a book based on poems of freedom fighter late Shriram Sharma, was released at a function held here today. Dr Atul Sharma has edited the book that has a collection of poems written by the famous poet in the days of the freedom struggle.

Earlier, the programme began with a short documentary on the life of Shriram Sharma, after which Dhananjay Singh, former editor of Kadambini magazine; Dr Mahesh Kudiyal, Ashok Verma and Ravindra Jugran, released the book.

Dhananjay Singh said, “This book is an important document of history in itself. Readers can feel the struggle of freedom fighters and their love for the nation by reading these poems”.

Editor of the book and Shriram’s son Dr Atul Sharma said, “I dedicate this book to the coming generations so that they can get inspired from these poems”.

Ranjana Sharma, Nishant Thapliyal, Dr Amitabh Sharma, Jay Prakash and Sumitra Dhuliya were present.
