Panic-stricken residents immediately called up the police and asked to stop the digging work. Rawail Singh and Nitin Kumar, residents of the area, said a large portion of the boundary walls around 10 houses collapsed. “Now, there is great risk to the houses,” they said. After reaching the spot, Amarpreet Singh, SHO, Phase XI police station, pacified the residents and shifted occupants of three houses to a local hotel. The residents alleged that the club owner had dug up the site beyond permissible limits due to which the houses in the locality could collapse. “We will lodge a complaint in with the Chief Administrator, GMADA ,” said the residents.

Notably, the club in question is being reconstructed.
