Boy injured in leopard attack

A boy was seriously injured after he was attacked by a leopard on Monday. Rohan (11), son of Japal of Pokhra village in  Pauri was attacked by a leopard when he was playing outside his home. He was rescued and brought to hospital where doctors declared him out of danger.   TNS

Peyjal Nigam staff want govt status

Peyjal Nigam employees demanded that the government should declare status of government department to the nigam at the biennial convocation held here on Monday. Addressing the gathering, Puran Singh Rawat of the Peyjal Nigam Employees Association, said a memorandum was given many times to government officials, but to no avail. He said pay anomaly, better pay and perks, allowance etc. were some pending demands of the association. RC Pandey, Dayaram Sakhlani, Ashok Sharma, Ratnesh Saxena and others were present. TNS

The Sahaspur police arrested a man with 10 gram smack and 55 gram charas here on Monday. SI DS Negi alleged he was arrested while he was setting a deal with customer at Shiv Nagar. The accused  tried to run away,  but was arrested. He has been identified as Chota, son of Yasmeen of Sahaspur. TNS
