A wreath-laying ceremony of BSF Head Constable Jitender Kumar was held at BSF Jammu Frontiers’ headquarters here today.

The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by Additional Director General (ADG), BSF, Arun Kumar, IG, BSF, Jammu Frontiers, DK Upadhyay and other officers.

Jitender Kumar was killed during a fierce cross-border firing by Pakistan yesterday.

Rich tributes were paid to the BSF head constable.

The ADG, BSF, IG, BSF, Jammu, and other BSF officers and men paid floral tribute to the martyr.

Speaking on the occasion, Arun Kumar said the BSF has the history of bravery and is always committed to ensure sanctity of the international border and security of the border population.

“This brave act has once again proved that BSF men do not hesitate to sacrifice their life if it comes to the security of the nation,” he said.

The cremation of Jitender Kumar will take place at his native village Mauze Raksual in Motihari district, Bihar, tomorrow.
