A cafe, located close to a police station, was raided this evening by a team of UT officers in the presence of the SDM (East), Dr Tapasya Raghav. "It was found that hookah was being used illegally in the H2O cafe, running in SCO 19, Sector 26, Chandigarh. Samples were collected from the cafe and have been sent to the CFSL," a raiding official said.

The team, including Dr Deepak Bakshi and Drug Inspector Amit Duggal, verified the identity proofs of all consumers present. However, nobody was found below 18 years of age. The operations of the cafe are reportedly clearly visible from the nearby police station. — TNS
