Army recruitment officer, Mandi, Amarjit Vasudev has advised candidates not to take drugs that boost stamina during recruitment drives.

An Army recruitment rally is to take place at the Luhnu Ground in Bilaspur district between November 7 and 9. Candidates from Mandi, Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti districts will take the ground test.

The Army recruitment officer said to tighten the noose around those who try to deceive the authorities, the Army Recruitment Authority has decided to depute a special team of doctors at the venue to examine the candidates in order to find out if they have taken banned substances. “If a person is found guilty, he will be disqualified,” Vasudev said.

It is learnt that a number of candidates use drugs to boost their stamina to clear the ground test and manage to give the authorities the slip.— TNS
