Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has extended his heartfelt sympathies to Rahul Bhandari, the state government’s Resident Commissioner in Delhi, over the demise of his father-in-law Dr. V.K Gupta IRS (retd).
In a condolence message to Rahul Bhandari, a senior Punjab IAS officer, Capt Amarinder said he was with the family in their hour of grief.
The vacuum left by the death of Dr. Gupta, who retired as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax besides having served in various official capacities, including Director Finance in UP Power Corporation, cannot be fulfilled, said the Chief Minister, expressing his empathy for the bereaved family.
Dr. Gupta is survived by three daughters, including Rahul Bhandari’s wife, Rakhee, also an IAS officer.
