Career Abacus, a leading Abacus teaching institute, organised a state-level competition for the students at the MNKG Montessori School auditorium in Gandhi Nagar.
Children in the age group of 5 to 13 participated in the competition.
The function started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the 2014 champion Shivansh Gautam of Kaluchak Army School and Suhani Gupta of Presentation Convent.
Director, Career Abacus, Arvind Sharma said the aim of the competition was to promote the learning of Abacus and mental arithmetic.
He said during the competition, children were given 200 questions which were to be completed within eight minutes.
Coordinator Divya explained the benefits of Abacus to the audience and stressed the need to teach the skill to all the students in the age group of 5 to 13 years.
The event was conducted by Atul Mahajan, Sheetal, Monika Suri, Sheetal Gupta, Rahul, Bhushan, Taniya, Gaurav, Garima, Arti Bedi, Amanpreet, Nalin, Kuljeet Kour, Amit Pal Singh, Raman deep, Jatinder Kour and Vikram.
Arvind Sharma presented the vote of thanks.
