Pakistan army began to fire indiscriminately on Indian Army posts on the Line of control in Jammu’s Akhnoor Sector on Friday.

The firing began at 11.45 am, prompting the Indian Army to retaliate.

The firing was underway "intermittently" till the last reports came, army said.

"Pakistani soldiers initiated indiscriminate firing at around 11.45 AM today on Indian Army posts along the Line of Control (LC) in Akhnoor sector," a senior Army officer said.

There has been no loss of life or injury to anyone on the Indian side of the border, the officer added. (With Inputs from PTI)
