Central Command GOC-in-C Lt Gen Bakhshi visits IMA

Dehradun, November 6

Lt Gen Rajan Bakhshi, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command, appreciated the high standards of training for gentlemen cadets during his visit to the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Uttarakhand Sub Area yesterday.

He was apprised about the various activities and issues concerning the sub area. He also visited the newly constructed shopping complex and food court. Gen Bakhshi appreciated the efforts taken by the sub area for the welfare of other ranks and their family members.

Preeti Bakshi, General Bakhshi’s wife, visited various institutions in Garhi Cantt area and interacted with women. She exhorted them to look after the welfare of the families and veer naris.

This was also the farewell visit of Lt Gen Bakhshi before he retires on November 30 after an illustrious career spanning over 40 years in the Indian Army.

IMA Commandant Lt Gen BS Negi, Uttarakhand Sub Area Commander Maj Gen Shammi Sabharwal and others were present on the occasion.
