Central varsity pays floral tribute to Abdul Kalam

The Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) fraternity today paid floral tributes to former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on the university campus in Shahpur.

Prof Kuldeep Chand Agnishotri, Vice-Chancellor, CUHP, hailed former president as ‘the man of the century’ and Prof Yoginer Singh Verma, Pro Vice-Chancellor, CUHP, said Kalam’s life and story was an inspiration for teachers and students.

Dr Navneet Sharma, Assistant Professor, conducted the programme. Deans, heads of departments, teachers, research scholars and employees of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh observed a two-minute silence to pay respectful homage to the departed soul.
