Jammu, March 20
The Lok Sabha Youth Congress Committee (Jammu-Poonch) today demanded the rollback of a recent hike in petrol and diesel prices by the Central Government claiming that people were already facing much hardship.
Hoshiar Chib, along with other workers and prominent citizens of the locality, assembled at main road Lower Roop Nagar in Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Ward No. 66 and raised slogans against the hike in fuel prices.
Hoshiar Singh said despite a fall in the rates of crude oil in the international market, the rates of fuel of all kinds were required to be reduced. “The public is already facing hardships due to a rise in prices of various commodities and it is getting hard to get meal twice a day under such circumstances,” said Hoshiar Chib.
Others present on the occasion included Prateek Singh, Vikrant Khajuria, Sanjay Sharma, Vikram Singh, Hans Raj, Sukhdev, Kalu, Visharath, Rinku Chib, Yasir, Ashu Jamwal, Bhanu Chib, Sukhi, Mani Chib, Vishal Singh Manhas and Vicky Chib.
