Cultural fest ends at Sundernagar college
Sundernagar, April 25
A three-day cultural fest, TWASK 2017, concluded in Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (JNGEC) here on Sunday.
As per the authorities, it was the sixth cultural fest in the institute ever since the starting of the college. TWASK provides a platform to engineering undergraduates from across the country to showcase their talent in cultural activities.
The fest was inaugurated by Rajeshwar Goel, Director, HP Technical Education, vocational and industrial training.
Speaking on the concluding function, Raman Parti, Director-Principal of the institute, said the events of this character helped in inculcating skills like leadership qualities, organisation skills, management skills and soft skills which were vital in today’s competitive world.
Several cultural activities were performed by students showcasing a blend of Indian and Western cultures.
A spectacular performance by students on Pahari “nati” made everybody dance. Later, salsa, Gujarati dance, Arabic dance, funny dance and Rajasthani dance were appreciated by the audience. In addition to several dance performances, there were solo and group singing performances by the participants. — OC
