Dagshai school’s 59th Founder’s Day a vibrant affair

The 59th Founder’s Day of Dagshai Public School, which coincided with the 120th birth anniversary of the founder chairman, late Bhai Raghbir Singh Bir, was celebrated today.

Ravi Manuja, Registrar, Bahra University, Jasbir Singh Bir, chairman, Dagshai Public School, members of the managing board and parents graced the occasion.

The theme of the Founder’s Day was VIBGYOR, a joyous amalgam of vibrant rainbow colours. Students presented a variety of cultural events, including a Russian dance by tiny tots , a balle on the theme “Save the Girl Child”, orchestra, an English play “Unity is Strength”, a traditional folk dance, gypsy dance and bhangra.

Balvinder Ahuja, Principal, read out the school report throwing light on the achievements of the year, which included hosting of an annual general meeting of the ASISC, Northern Region, during September 2016, which was attended by 125 principals, and directors of various schools.

Addressing students and staff, Ravi Manuja, who was the chief guest, narrated his own experiences and congratulated the staff for the cultural events. Kasauli MLA Ravi Saizal was also present on the occasion. — TNS
