The damaged Bedi Adalka minor irrigation canal in Dunda Block of Uttarkashi district has compelled villagers to stop the sowing process due to unavailability of adequate water.

The villages Pujar Gaon, Hitanu Gawana, Dadmali, Bhalsi, Udalak, Singuni, Dungi, Astali etc, receive water for irrigation from the Bedi Adalka minor irrigation canal. But due to the canal lying damaged from the past several days, the fields are unable to receive adequate water, forcing villagers to stop sowing.
