The process of annual elections for various posts of the District Bar Association gained momentum today with 17 more contestants filing the nomination.
ND Chopra, along with supporters KR Sikri, BK Goel, Sanjiv Malhotra, Harish Narang, Gurpreet Arora and NPS Gahir, filed the nomination for the post of president. Aman Rani Sharma and Naginder Singh Gora also filed the nomination for the president.
For the post of the Secretary, Karan Singh filed nomination papers, with supporters Rustam Pal Sandhu, Jagdev Virk, and Gurpreet Singh Virk. Ajay Raj Kumar Deveshwar also filed the nomination for the same post.
Harjot Singh Harikay, along with supporters Kanwar Harpal Singh, Gurpreet Sekhon, and Rajneesh Mahajan, filed nomination for the post of the Vice-President. Two more contenders for the same post are Rajesh Batish and Sandeep Arora.
Deepak Kumar and Davinder Pal Singh filed the nominations for the post of the Finance Secretary. Vanita Gupta, Harjot Singh and Sumit Kumar Jagga filed the nomination for the Joint Secretary.
Nominations for executive members were filed by Jatinder Kumar Mani, Karanjit Singh Behal , Ripan Kumar and Kamal Kumar.
