Death in Kuwait: Parents meet Sushma for son’s body

The parents of a 28-year-old youth, Ankaj Rana, a resident of Naleti village in Dehra of this district who died in Kuwait on Monday, have approached External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and requested her to arrange for repatriation of his body so that the last rites could be performed at the native village.

Kailash Rana, a farmer by profession and father of Ankaj Rana, today said his son was working with Kuwait Gulf Link posted in KGL Shuwaikh industrial area III in Kuwait as a driver. He said he had left for Kuwait on February 26 this year.

Kailash said he was scheduled to be in Kuwait for two years but unfortunately the family received the news that Ankaj had passed away following sudden cardiac ailment

The victim’s father said earlier when he had left India there were no symptoms of any ailment. He said he had communicated to the External Affairs Minister and urged her to take steps so that the body of his son could be repatriated and the last rites performed at his native village Naleti.
