Design of Balliwala flyover faulty, says BJP

BJP activists today held a demonstration at the Balliwala flyover against the anomalies in its construction.

The protesters gathered at the Balliwala flyover and burnt an effigy of the state government. They said the design of the newly inaugurated flyover was not appropriate. “The parapet wall of the flyover is very low, thus can easily attract road accidents,” they said.

The protesters said the government should immediately draft a proposal to add safety features to the flyover. They cornered the state government for slower construction work for the remaining four flyovers in different areas of the city.

They said traffic jams had become a perennial problem in different areas in the city. Sunder Singh, RS Rawat, Deepak Sharma, Dinesh were present during the protest.
