Devotees across state offer prayers on first Friday of Ramadan

Dehradun/Haridwar, June 10

Thousands of devotees offered namaaz on the first Friday of the pious month of Ramadan across the state today.

In Dehradun, the faithful gathered at various mosques and Jama Masjid to pray.

In Haridwar, elaborate security arrangements were put in place with SSP Rajeev Swarup, SP, City, Navneet Singh Bhullar, SP rural Parmendra Dobhal monitoring the proceedings.

Devotees gathered at the Jama Masjid, Eidgah Ahbabab Nagar Masjid, Kuba Masjid, Madina Masjid, Ansariyan, Ghosiyan, Paodhani, Kaithwadi, Mandi ki Masjid and BHEL Sector-1 mosque to offer holy namaaz on the auspicious occasion.

Devotees were seen buying special sweet dishes at Jwalapur Mohalla Kassaban, Ghosiyan, Kotarvan, Paodhoi, Maidaniyan, Kharadiyan, Chauhanan, Hajjaban, Ehbab Nagar and Bahadrabad.
