Dharminder, Vijay crowned Mr Ludhiana

Dharminder Singh, who proved his mettle in the above 55kg category, and Vijay Kumar, who got the better of his immediate opponents in the 75kg group, were adjudged Mr Ludhiana in the senior and junior sections, respectively, in the Ludhiana Bodybuilding Championship-2014 held at United Cycles Part Association Hall, Miller Ganj, here, today.

Dharminder was awarded with a motorbike, while Vijay was given an LCD. As many as 170 participants shrugged their shoulders for top honours in this championship. It was organised by a local bodybuilding body to promote the game among the youngsters, said chief organiser Pardeep Kumar Appu.

Kulwant Singh Sidhu, president, Congress, Atam Park Zone, along with vice-chairman, Backward Classes Welfare Commission, Nirmal Singh, ADCP, Paramjeet Singh Pannu, and president, Active Anti-Corruption, Ludhiana, Ramesh Bangar, distributed the prizes.

Junior (below 55kg): Arun 1, Vikas 2, Prnice Kumar 3, Sandeep Kumar 4 and Chottu Ram 5.

Below 60kg: Sikander 1, Ajay Kumar 2, Sunny 3, Suraj Kumar 4 and Jaswinder Singh 5.

Below 65kg: Hardeep Singh, Chetean Kumar 2, Gaurav Prashar 3, Vijay Kumar 4 and Manoj Kumar Gupta 5.

Below 70kg: Jatinder Rajput 1, Vishwajeet Singh 2, Abhi 3, Sagar 4 and Sanjiv Kumar 5.

Below 75kg: Vijay Kumar 1, Mandeep Kumar 2 and Hardeep Singh 3.

Above 75kg: Amit Kumar 1, Gagandeep 2 and Prashant 3.

Senior (below 55kg): Arun 1, Vikas 2, Prince 3, Jagtar Singh 4 and Raman 5.

Above 55kg: Dharminder Singh 1, Simranjeet Singh 2, Kuljeet Singh 3, Krsihan 4 and Rakesh Kumar 5.

Above 60kg: Amit Mehta 1, Sikander 2, Lucky 3, Varinder Kumar 4 and Gurmukh Singh 5.

Above 65kg: Vishal 1, Varinder Singh 2, Manish Verma 3, Mantar Singh 4 and Cheetan 5.
