Kaithal Jat school Society elections Our Correspondent
KAITHAL , OCTOBER 19
Members of the local Jat High School Society led by former society president Balwan Kotra staged a dharna in front of the mini-secretariat here, demanding the replacement of Roshan Lal Dhanda as returning officer (RO) for the November 22 society elections. They remained sitting on the road for over two hours, resulting in the disruption of vehicular traffic. They also threatened that if their demand was not accepted, they would show black flags to CM Manohar Lal Khattar during his proposed visit to Kaithal on October 24.
The dharna was lifted after Deputy Commissioner KM Pandurang and SP Krishan Murari assured a delegation of protesters that their demand would be conceded by tomorrow.
