DHBVN hikes FSA

HISAR

The DHBVN has raised the fuel surcharge arrears (FSA) on  consumers by five paisa across all categories. A DHBVN circular stated that the FSA for the first quarter of 2015-16 (April to June) to be recovered from consumers during July to September had been calculated at five paisa per unit. The FSA has been fixed at Rs 1.19 per unit for the minimum slab of 40 units. —TNS

SP suspends SI for graft

After receiving complaints about corruption,  Abhishek Garg, SP, on Sunday suspended Sub-Inspector Rajinder Kumar, in charge of police chawki at Rajiv Gandhi Education City, near Rai. A department inquiry had also been started, the SP added. —OC

ASI caught taking bribe

A Vigilance team caught ASI Rajbir Singh posted at Samalkha police station in Panipat district  accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from Sitender of Mahra village near the bypass at Gohana on Sunday.  The bribe was demanded for not arresting Sitender’s sister and brother-in-law Ranbir of Dhansoli in Panipat district in a case of alleged beating of a few persons of the same village. —OC
