Displaced Pandit employees apprise Jitendra of problems
Jammu, January 3
Two delegations of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit employees met Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh regarding leave encashment by the migrant employees at the time of retirement.
The delegations were led by Panun Kashmir president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo and national spokesperson Virender Raina.
Pamposh Kaul, convener, Kashmir Displaced Employee Forum, made a presentation on the issue. “Though a positive approach has been taken by the department concerned after the issue was taken up with Jitendra Singh six months ago and the state government also replied positively later, a final solution to the issue is awaited,” said Pamposh Kaul.
The delegation urged Jitendra to use his good offices so that a positive decision was taken by the government.
The second delegation’s case was presented by Neerja Kumari Kaul who raised the issue of adjustment of the promoted migrant teachers in Jammu. The teachers, who were serving in various camp schools in Jammu for the last 17 years and are mostly women, were transferred by the authorities to Anantnag district last year. — TNS
