A doctor was allegedly manhandled by people protesting in front of a local nursing home after the death of a newborn. Family members alleged that the newborn had died due to the negligence of the hospital staff and that the delivery was conducted by nurses. They alleged that they were initially kept in the dark about the baby’s death.
Jian resident Paramjit Singh alleged that they were not allowed to enter the room where his baby was kept, and when his sister entered forcibly, she found that the child was dead. She alleged that a doctor misbehaved with her. The nursing home’s owner, Dr Sukhpreet Dhami, the doctor and the baby’s kin have filed complaints with the police.
