In a recent concluded annual conference of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), in Punjab at Ferozepur, Dr PS Jassal was declared the Best Branch Secretary of Punjab for his exemplary work.
Dr Harman Sobti delivered a talk on the current management strategies on advanced neurosurgery. Other notable speakers from the region were Dr Harinder Singh Bedi, Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh, Dr Davinder Singh Sandhu, Dr Naresh K Aggarwal and Dr Anand Sehgal.
Chief guest on the occasion was Hardeep Singh Dhillon, DGP Law and Order in Punjab.
Dr Manoj Kumar Sobti co-organising chairperson of the event apprised Dhillon about the difficulties being faced by the doctors particularly when relatives of patients show a violent side against doctors despite Punjab Protection of Medicare Service Act-2008.
Dhillon assured the doctors of all possible help and promised that all the SHOs and investigation officers will be sensitised about this act.
