e-district scheme will be launched soon: DC

Deputy Commissioner Dinesh Malhotra said they would soon launch the e-district scheme. Under the scheme, online services, including death, birth and marriage certificates, would be provided to the people, he said.

Dinesh said applicant would not get online copies of ‘Pariwar’ register, BPL certificate, MGNREGA registration and job application.

The scheme will ensure efficiency, transparency and better services. The applicants can log on to www.edistrict.hp.gov.in.

The DC said once an applicant is registered under the e-district project, he/she will get an SMS or e-mail. “After the launch of the seven services, e-district project will cover 14 other services related to the Revenue Department,” he said.

He said the services would include rural resident certificate, ex-servicemen domicile and income certificate. “The services will be provide in a time-bound manner,” the DC said.
