Residents of Jandali Kalan and surrounding localities have started working for the success of Ruby Sahota, who has been nominated as the Liberal Party candidate from the North Brampton Member Parliament Constituency for the next poll in Canada.

Office-bearers and activists of social, educational and religious organisations led by former president of the Municipal Council, Ahmedgarh, said a movement had been launched to garner support of the NRIs settled in Brampton for the success of Ruby Sahota, daughter of Harbans Singh Jandali.

A special committee led by Tarsem Garg has started preparing a list of the NRIs settled in Brampton and surrounding segments in Canada. Members of families of these NRIs will be contacted and motivated to garner support for Ruby Sahota.

“We have already started preparing the list. We will impress upon these families to support granddaughter of the village,” said Garg, claiming that members of some families had agreed to visit Brampton prior to the elections scheduled to take place in October 2015.

Ruby Sahota, daughter of social activist Harbans Singh Jandali, was nominated as the candidate at a meeting of over 3,700 members of the Brampton North Federal Liberal Association held recently at Brampton. The meeting claimed the largest voter turnout for any nomination in Ontario.
