Former DGP Shashi Kant today released a book titled “Nasha-degree & recovery”, written by a city lawyer, Devinder Pal Singh, for inspiring drug addicts to quit drugs for enjoyable life.

Speaking on the occasion, Shashi Kant said it was a daring act of a city lawyer, who had made it to the public regarding his indulgence in drugs and recovery thereafter with the help of family.

He appreciated the role of his family in extending moral support to him for giving up drugs.

DBA president Vijay B Verma, vice-president Rakesh Bhatia and several lawyers were present during the release of the book written in Punjabi here at the District Court Complex.

The writer has shared how he indulged in taking drugs, the period of six years of his being a victim of drugs and his journey to come out from the grip of drugs. He also shared that the past eight years without drugs was an enjoyable period of his life.
