Ranbir Sharma, former IGP and president of the Rashtriya Lokswaraj Party, today pointed out several irregularities in the police recruitment drive held recently. He also demanded a CBI probe into it.

Addressing media persons here he alleged that four youths lost their lives due to lack of proper arrangements at the recruitment venue. He said instead of ordering inquiry, the government claimed the youths had taken drugs to enhance their performance.

Sharma alleged recruitment norms were violated and the drive was conducted in the absence of experts.

He also announced to hold ‘insaf rally’ in Karnal on September 4 to expose the irregularities during the police recruitment drive.

The recruitment was eyewash aimed to benefit near and dear ones of those in the BJP, he alleged.

He said flaws in the results of the recruitment drive would be exposed at the rally in which parents, members of gram panchayats, Zila Parishads and block samitis would participate.

The former IG also termed the Parkash Singh Committee report and the Dhingra Commission report as eyewash.
