Shimla, June 17
A delegation of the HPSEB Project Engineers Association, led by its president Bhanu Pratap Singh, met Chief Secretary (CS) VC Pharka and urged him to fill all vacant posts in HP Power Corporation Ltd (HPCL).
He said the post of director (civil) had fallen vacant in HPPCL due to repatriation of incumbent director to the HPSEB.
He urged him to fill the posts through advertisement as has been the rule followed by the HPPCL.
He highlighted the issue of stagnation faced by project engineers due to non-filling of vacant posts of chief engineer (civil) in the HPPCL. There are three (3) posts of Chief engineer. He urged the CS to bring down the retirement age of the MD and directors to 58 years from 60 years as is applicable in other government departments. — TNS
