Avtar Singh, president, Upkar Singh Ahuja, general secretary, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), respectively, said the stage is set for the 3rd edition of mega engineering expo “International Engineering Technology and Sourcing Show” (IETSS-EMAT-2015) to be held from November 27 to 30, 2015, at GLADA Ground, Chandigarh Road.
They said the star attraction of the expo will be a mega buyer seller meet with 20-member business delegation from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Sri Lanka. This particular event will be one of the most unique of its kind and exclusive organised by the CICU which is a key industrial and cargo hub. The Sri Lankan delegation will arrive here in the evening on November 26.
According to CICU functionaries, the objective of the engineering industry expo was to build and shine “Made-in-Punjab” brands. The proposed buyer-seller meet had already generated inquiries for more than Rs 1,000 crores and it was expected to open new opportunities for bilateral trade, especially exports from Punjab by the engineering, power, machine and hand tools, robotics, bicycle and sewing machine industries. More than two hundred exporters had already registered for this event.
They said visit of African ambassadors to expo from Zambia, Tunisia and Niger will add enthusiasm and liveliness on the opening day of the event. Display of latest machinery by China, Japan and Germany and robotics and latest green manufacturing technology products will be an additional feature of the show.
